Joan: I sure hate to be in here so early with the right answer. Craig will have to verify but this is definetly the feather from the Soth African Dodo Bird. How in the world did you get this photo. do you also do time travel? Now I have to wait until I get back to see the whole photo.
Hello Tom. I am afriad the BS team is not going to get it this week that is why I offered hugs and kisses on it. Our Dodo's are alive and well and working in our government. LOL!!
PS. I am probably going to be killed if the wrong people see this answer. LOL!! So if you do not hear from me again ......
This is clearly not an Alpine Bird or some fancy Digiscope! This is very hurtful Joan! The first ‘real’ scientist that comes along and you jump right in and side up with him. How many times do I have to tell you that Tom and I are just as good as those ‘real’ scientist? No offence Dale, but I am not even sure if you get the Discovery Channel where you are. Last I heard you were in SA. Maybe that’s it, so beware of ‘bug lady’ flattery! I’m just sayin’…
Now to the more important matter at hand. Tom, my dear learned fellow countryman, what the heck are you talking about? I think you were fishin’ in the sun too long this weekend! LOL!!! SA Dodo bird? Don’t you remember last years episode? The Dodo bird never flew any further south than Egypt. Ugghhhhh, don’t worry I will set the record straight and win our honor back for the sake of the Institute and furthermore, defend out scientific methods against those so called professional scientist!
So, here is the deal, this is a well know cave drawing from Australia by the aboriginal natives dating back thousands of years. Joan has been hanging out in caves a lot lately but I think this must be an older photo from one of her many journeys from the past. Notice the sand texture and bright colors that can only be found in Australian cave drawings. So easy, if watch enough of the right channels on TV.
Firstly, you are not allowed to take a dig and my favorite South African especially when he is here to make sure the two of you Better Science fellows are really stumped with the next lot of pictures we are going to cook up between us. I mean, you and Tom cannot even agree on what this is, so how do you hope to convince me? I am going to have to speak to your brother and find out if you were maybe dropped on your head when you were a baby.
I also need to inform you that Discovery Channel was my pet project and I was personally involved in making all of the chapters so I know for sure we did not make one on this subject. Discovery is just that, discovering things in nature and I have never heard of a toothbrush being made of natural fibres. Ask Scot he will tell you. Definitely the more intelligent btother!!
Reading the comments above, I guess there's trouble in paradise! You maybe glad I "made" it today - I've been in bed for 12 hours and finally stumbled out - don't know where this bug came on me. As to your puzzle this week: the pattern on some animal's skin? First I though onf migrating fish, but no! I see what happens...
Hello Jeannette. Of course there is trouble in paradise!! :) Craig has attacked a fellow countryman and I have to defend him. LOL!!
Craid comes out with the funniest things and I love teasing him back. He is such a good sport. Poor old Tom is away for a few days or else he would be right here in the thick of things too even if him and Craig do band up together against me. LOL!!
Of course I am mad at you Craig. :) This week you do not have your buddy to side with you and having Jeannette also on my side, you are going to be left high and dry. LOL!
Naturally the game is fixed. You know from the begining I have been swaping pics on you!! LOL!!
You are a star ad I have a good laugh at all this nonesense my good friend. Thank you!! Hugs!!
Jeannette: Thanks for being on my side. LOL!! A certain man down in Florida thinks he knows it all and as is clearly seen in this picture, it is an animal skin as you suggest. LOL!!
On the otherhand, maybe not. :)
A cave drawing? I think not, unless itwas by some aliens!! LOL!!
Joan, I quess I have to buy an umbrella big enough so that all these squirts of watergun-teases won't manage to get me wet. Luckily Craig is faaaar away on the East Coast, and California is a good place to hide!
Other subject -did you get my email, or are you not having your PC back?
Hello Jeannette. LOL!! He is just big mouth and pretty harmless. He knows I will come and beat him over the head with something if he does not behave!! LOL!!
I just left a message for you on yur blog icw the PC and e-mail. :)
My name is Joan and I have lived and worked in the African bush for more than 20 years so I am definitely not a "city girl". My hobbies and interest are anything to do with the outdoors especially photography. At the end of last year I was introduced to macro photography and have discovered a whole new world. I have traveled a lot and love chatting to people, so I correspond with people all over the world. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions you may have: macromail2 at vodamail dot co dot za. Thanks for visiting my blog. :)

Jeannette,
You bet there is trouble in paradise! I don’t know who this lady thinks she is?
Oh, that’s right, she’s Joan the Bug Lady!
You know we only tease and are the best of friends! It just seems like she’s mad at me! LOL But hey that just part of the entertainment!
You aren’t mad at me are you J?
Say you aren’t mad at me, SAY IT!!!
NOW SAY I AM RIGHT!!! All of my answers have been right all along!!!
~sigh~
This game is fixed I say…
LOL
Craig
to Craig,
Yeah, they always say, the game is fixed when "they" don't like the result!
Craig, you don't want me to be mad at you, because I ain't funny like Joan is, when she's mad!
Always know I'm siding with my gender LOL
The first thing that jumped out at me was a butterfly wing, although I've never seen anything with that pattern on it. I can't wait to see what it is.

Hello Diane. Thanks for taking part in the fun. As you can see from above there is a lot of teasing going on here. :)
