Large Black Nest Chafer (Diplognatha gagates)

Family Scarabeaidae
Large beetles with a body length of 22-32mm.
 Larvae develop in roof thatching, large birds nests and compost heaps.


Adults feed on green vegetation, fruits and sap, larvae on bird droppings.
