When and if I have the time, I like to play around with the photographs I have by combining two or three into a montage. I am not very good at it as I am not a graphics expert, but I do enjoy the results. Enjoy!!
Hey..I'm impressed..They look really great Joan..I have just started to play with paint shop after giving up on photo shop elements. I will sit and look at a photo and tilt my head from left to right and hubby asks me what I am doing..LOL.....Michelle
Thanks Michelle. It can be fun and frustrating learning a new program. Don't worry, I will bet hubby just shakes his head and walks away. :) Our spouses always think we are nuts. LOL!!
These are awesome Joan! Very very creative. My favourites here are the lion in the tree, the giraffe, and the cheetah at the center of the flower. You can certainly market this kind of art.
Although your work is different, it reminds me of the layering work done by Solange.

She alters and combines perspectives and changes colour schemes, etc. to create something brand new. This niche can certainly be done with wildlife and nature too.
I don't have Photoshop so I haven't done much with my pic other than slight changes. I must really look into getting it. (Although I have said that many times before as well)
I am SO happy to hear from you again Mingfei. Just this weekend I thought you were not coming back and took off the link to your blog. I was going to send you an e-mail to find out how things are with you. Please let me know how it is going.
These pics are so much fun! What a neat idea. I don't have the tools to do that yet, but I hope to be getting a green screen kit soon. I can hardly wait!!
No sorry Craver. :) I just know a few words here and ther in a couple of languages so I need to use a translator. :)
This kind of thing is really fun if you have the time to do it. Most of there are a combination of two photographs but the leopard in the tree is three pics.
What are you going to be doing with the green screen? Mostly it is used in film making?
I would be doing things similar to what you have done here, but with portraits. I'm thinking of using it as a treat for some parents at my church, so that they have fun photos of their little ones with amusing backgrounds. The program you are using looks like it is much more versatile.
That sound really great Craver, a lovely idea!! I am mostly using Corel Draw for these. It is more a graphics design program and totally different to Photoshop.
Hello Mary. I will not believe that for one minute!! Look at all those fantastic quilts you do!! How can you say that? I could not do those quilts and I am more than willing to bet if someone showed you how to do this, you could and easily at that!! Like qulting this takes a lot of patience. :)
I haven't used Corel much. Every time I change computers I have to learn new software to manipulate photos. Haven't really worked much on that in over a year. Did download free Gimp, but not sure how it works. Oh Well. It is fun to make these montages, and very time consuming.
Hello Gaelyn. I tend to keep on using the same software as I am to lazy to learn anything new. :) There are probably other programs which do these montages faster but I am used to Corel.
Interesting.
ReplyDeleteI like very much the zebra (it seems a dream),the cheetah and the elephant.
Very clever Joan. I like them.
ReplyDeleteThese are fun and convincing. My faves are the giraffe, hippo, leopard and squirrel. :D
ReplyDeleteI love this, especially the hippo, zebra and cheeta. I used to play like this more often. Wonder what software you use?
ReplyDeleteI think they turned out really well! Good job!

ReplyDeleteThanks Andrea. I liked the way the zebra came out too, like a spirit.
ReplyDeleteThanks TB. I wish I had more time to do things like this now. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Diane. It is very time consuming to do these things but they turn out pretty good.
ReplyDeleteI am using part of Corel Draw Gaelyn. I find one program does not do all I want it to. So have to keep on switching to others.
ReplyDeleteThanks Becky. A great way to pass the time...when I have any to spare that is. :)

ReplyDeleteLong time no see Joan. What did you mean by saying: TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE!!! "
ReplyDeleteI don't have Photoshop so I haven't done much with my pic other than slight changes. I must really look into getting it. (Although I have said that many times before as well)
ReplyDeleteThanks Bernie. I certainly enjoy combining photographs like this but it does take hours to do.
ReplyDeleteI tried to go to Solange's sit but it would not connect so I will try it later. Thanks for the link.
Thanks Stacey. I do enjoy doing something like this.

ReplyDeleteLove your butterfly blog!!
I don't have Photoshop either Jonker and use Corel Draw which is more of a graphics program.
ReplyDeleteAh, a bit of photographic fun going on here these days! Some pretty interesting ideas :)
ReplyDelete¡Divertidas composiciones!. La primera genial. Un saludo.
ReplyDeleteHello WR. Long time no see!! :) What have you been up to? Is it getting warmer by you?
ReplyDeleteThanks. I am capable of getting up to all kinds of mischief when people are not looking. LOL!!
Gracias Mar. Es interesante de hacer este tipo de cosas.
ReplyDelete¿Hablas espaƱol?

Thanks Penny. That has to be a tall flower to fit a giraffe into. :)

ReplyDeleteOh Joan, these are wonderful. You have done a fantastic job. Do you have a special program for this?
ReplyDeleteI love each of them!
B.
Thanks Becky. It is just a normal graphics design program. :)
ReplyDeleteJoan: Some fun results for sure.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun...I'm not clever enough to do things like this!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom. They turned out pretty neat. :)

ReplyDeleteJoan excellent and entertaining results, and what are you talking about not being good, you are! Anna :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Anna, it is sweet of you to say so. I think someone who does graphic designing could do a better job but this was fun anyway. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL! Pretty funny!
ReplyDeleteJust shows what one can get up to when you are bored or have nothing better to do. :)
