I do love all of you!!

This has been an unbelievable week!! I have never in my life felt so wonderful and cared for! I seriously did not think anyone would even notice that I was not blogging anymore but the amount of e-mails I received tells me that I was missed. THANK YOU everyone, it is the greatest feeling in the world to know I have so many people that think about me and want me to continue blogging and the pressure to start again has been strenuous. You know that you are all VERY special to me too.

I am going to try hard to do my projects as well as blogging, but if I skip a day or do not get to yours, please forgive me. My Bugguide project is very important to me and I do need to get it going.

Thank you my friends, thank you for all your wonderful love and support. It is invaluable to me!!
I miss everyone so much!!

  5. WELCOME BACK! I am so releved. I know time is not always on one's side and I think we would all understand if you don't post every day. I also know commenting on each comment also takes a lot of time and thats why I don't comment on all my comments.

Now, what happened to all you old posts? Did you delete it without backing them up? I hope not as its a brilliant reference site.

  6. Thanks so much Jonker. I am not sure how much posting I am going to do but at least I want to try to continue my Mystery Monday's.

Yes, unfortunately I did destroy all the previous posts as I thought they were old ones that no one was interesed in anymore. :(

  7. Joan the blogging thing is supposed to be fun and not stressful. In other words you do it when you feel like it and go on with lifes other priorities. Its called the "avoid burnout approach." No guilt should be involved. :)

  10. When I realised, I frantically searched my inbox for your email address and could not find it. I was really worried!

  11. Yea!!! I was so excited to see your post this morning! ;-) Welcome back. At whatever pace you choose. Just have to set those priorities.

I honestly don't want to believe that all your past wonderful posts are actually gone forever. They should be searchable for all the good content. I'll bet they're in some cyber vault somewhere.

    Yippee, Joan's back!

  12. Glad to have you back Joan, I was wondering why you left! I read about it in Craver's blog and was very bummed, your blog is very interesting. Good luck with your project, and you know it's not a big deal if you don't post every day :)

PS. the butterfly picture is gorgeous! It looks like a cabbage butterfly but orange, beautiful.

  13. Hi Joan. I'm sure many of us will or have already been thro' a similar phase...blogging v life priorities..what takes precedence?
Many of us have so many watchers & readers and it is often difficult to please everyone. Just do what you can, when you can and just know that we are here for you.

    Welcome back. FAB.

  14. I am so GLAD that you are back. At first I thought something was wrong with my computer since I couldn't view your blog. Then I wasn't sure what it was, maybe you had a new blog. I LOVE seeing your photos of your beautiful country Africa! This is the only way I'll be able to see the sights that are Africa. Do what you gotta do and check in once in awhile!

  16. Follow your Heart Joan. We can all detach from the pressure that is being exerted from without and follow our dreams from within. This is where we will all be truly happy.

  17. Hey Joan! Good luck with the project. It is okay to have another life other than the blog. I too have been feeling the pressure to get other work done. Just as long as we can get a fix every now and then.

  24. You are so right Bernie, as usual. I do need to follow my heart in a few things right now and I am going to be trying to find a balance between it all. I know all the things which are important to me and I do not want to waste one single moment of happiness in my life.

  37. Thank you Paivi. I can imagine what they would have said if you had sued them. :) Probably thought you are crazy. LOL!!

I am sure you know of the BUGGUIDE they have in the USA which people use for the identification of insects and I want to start the same thing here as there is nothing available. It is a big porject and one which is going to take a lot of time but I am looking forward to the cahallenge of getting it up and running.

  38. Joan Joan Joan...

I think what everyone is trying to say is... although they miss your claymation post of the made up animals and bugs of South Africa, what they miss most is my witty comments and award winning poetry!

    Nice to have you back.

  39. Hi Joan I have been absent for ages too and am sorry I didnt hear about your absense until now. Your photos always take me back to my roots and things that are so familiar to me and that I am slowly giving up hope of ever seeing again. I am struggling here since my husband passed in April so we will have to see. Your pictures give me a boost so I hope you will continue posting even if it isnt every day.

It was great seeing the photo of you, I always love putting a face to a name!!! You look great girl!
