I have never seen a wild Morning Glory before.

This mushroom was hiding away in the grass too.

  1. Crawling around again I see. LOL. Beautiful pics as expected of you.

I see you have started signing each picture. Did somebody use any without permission? What program do you use to do it with?

  2. LOL!! Thank goodness Gaelyn did not get a chance to take a picture of me again. :) Thanks Jonker.

Yes, some time ago I was informed that another site was feeding it into theirs so I started putting my signature on it. What a pity there are such people out there. Hey maybe I should be honoured that they like them enough?? LOL!

  5. Beautiful pictures as always. The muddy and torn clothes is more than worth the result! I seem to remember seeing wild morning glory before but perhaps it was when I was at Pilanesberg. We used to have time share at Bakubung - yet another memory for me. Diane

  6. These were taken near there Diane. It is the gate I usually use to go in at. I am so glad it is near enough to spend days there and not have to travel too far.

I was teasing about some of those but not the muddy. LOL!! Now and again the thorns get me good too as I am looking for insects and not where I am going. :)

  8. Joan, your pics are so perfectly focused! These are so crisp and clear. I especially like the one with the stem, and how my attention is drawn to one set of prickly leaves.

  10. Thanks Craver, that is very sweet of you. I like the prickly leaves one myself. Maybe 'cause I am prickly too? LOL!!

  12. Most of the programs you use for manipulating your photographs can put your name on Tony. In the left hand margine there is usually a capital "A" and this is what you would use. It is listed with allthe other applications of the programs. What a pity we have to protect out things against people who steal them.

    Check out some of these:

  13. Hmmmm....Now where's that picture of you crawling in the brush covered with mud? LOL! Actually I've already posted them all and hope you copied them for future use. Keep the theives at bay.
I've seen Morning Glories in the wild, I think midwestern US. Probably considered a weed as their vines spread rapidly.
Glad you're getting away for some fall photos.
    Find any chocolate cake? ;-)

  15. LOL!! Dont you dare put any more pics of me on your blog Gaelyn!! LOL!! Those others were bad enough. :)

Yes, things are starting to turn brown and dull here and soon there will not be too many bugs left either so I have to take what pictures I can. I do wish we had trees which turned those lovely autumn colors but they seem to go straight from green to brown here.

No chocolate cake yet!! Darn!! I am going to have to go back and see if they have some in today as it is getting close to the weekend when new stock arrives.

  16. Thanks Tom. These wild flowers are sometimes so pretty but they tend to be very small too and not suitable for a garden.

  17. We have lots of colors in Morning Glories here Becky. They seem to grow all over the place but this wild one is very different to them and is not much of a creeper.

  20. Lovely flowers there Joan! We have wild morning glories at our school - pink, violet and white ones - but I heard that they're a weed though and should be removed?

    Enjoy your weekend!

  21. Hello Sreddy. How was the holidays? Ready to get back to school? I will be not!! :)

Yes, they are a weed and are dispersed so easily as the birds eat the seeds but what a pretty sight they are.

  22. Wow Joan, these are all so nice and warm looking. My favorites are the second and fifth ones, so beautiful. They all look like they're fairly small flowers.

  23. Thanks Leeloo. You are right, they are small ones, most of them only 1/2 and inch or less.

  24. I like how you included the mushroom which has its own kind of beauty...

  25. LOL!! You know me...always deviating. LOL!!

  26. But the greatest discoveries are in the deviations Joan...enjoy your cake.. I will be looking for more spiders...or I think they will be looking for me.....Michelle

  27. You are so right Michelle. :)

The cake is finished. It does not last for more than a weekend with me. Luckily it is a small one. :)

I think the spiders and other insects watch us all the time and probably shake their heads at most of the things we get up to. LOL!!
