Waterdrops - Part 1

Trying to find something to post, I came across these photographs which I took a while back. The first two are of the crystals formed on the grass hairs early on a winters morning.....

These were taken after the rain. The little cups where the petals fell out are filled with water.
The reflections of the trees behind me.
This is the prettiest weed with its pink color. I took this after a storm too.

  3. Super drop shots. I did one myself the other day, but I think the best ones are taken early in the morning with lots of dew around.

  6. Thanks DIane. I love the sound of water too but you are right, it can be a powerful, destructive force sometimes.

  7. Thanks Philip. I have always taken these kinds of pics but most often they do not come out very nice. :)

  8. Thanks Jonker. The first two were taken early in the morning just after the sun came out and it had not had time to melt it yet. Needless to say I was freezing my butt off too. :)

  15. I love the droplets Joan...I had the strangest experience. There has been a lady beetle in the laundry room since last winter. Today I went in there and it flew on to my arm so I took it outside and away it flew..Maybe it needed the ride....

  24. Up north where you live - the water freezes not like our sunny tropical southern climates :)

  27. It does not do that where I live either Zane. Pretoria is divided by a small mountain range and you get frost on the other side of it opposite to me. :) My side is sub-tropcal too thank goodness. :)
