Carmine Bee-eater

A smallish with an unmistakable rose red colour and a blue crown, undertail and green rump.


Migrates to Zimbabwe from August to November when not breeding.

Always found in huge flocks.


Make nests in the side of river banks.

Feed on flying insects.
