Fruit Chafer (Dischista rufa)

Family Scarabaeidae
A medium-sized beetle of about 2.5cm in length.
Easily confused with other Dischista who’s colouring is very similar.

    We have (I think) the Rose chafer beetle here, they can eat a lot!!! Have a good weekend. We have visitors from JHB staying tomorrow :-) Diane

    Also looks similar to the emerald chafer we saw by the Vortreckers Museum in 2010.
