Yellow-banded Acraea (Hyalites cabira)

Family Nymphalidae Heliconiinae
These are medium size and the colours of the underwing are quite distinguishable.
 Are only found in the eastern regions of SA.

  2. I found one beauty in ST Lucia with a lovely green/blue strip on the top and the underside is a chocolate brown with a cream stipe. At first I did not think they were the same butterfly either until I managed to catch one.
