Metallic Tree Darkling (Strongylium purpuripenne)

Family Tenebrionidae
Large beetles of up to 26mm. They are often found climbing trees.

    Not quite as large as the Longhorn Beetle that I came across here yesterday but much prettier! Have a good weekend Diane
