Whitebrowed Sparrowweaver

Found in all areas except the very arid regions in the southwest and the moister regions of the northeast.

Each nest has two entrances and found on the west side of trees.
A very social bird made up of different groups together at nesting sites.

Forage on the ground for insects and seeds.

  1. You know of all the things I miss about Africa, the weavers come quite high up the list. I used to spend many hours watching them building nests, they are so clever, and each species has a different model nest so it seems. Hope all is well, have a good week, we will be away all next week exploring a little more of France to the South of us. Diane

  2. It really is interesting how the nests are designed so uniquely.
