I remember after a peyote meeting once we went outside in the morning to be greeted by a sky that said, "Look at how beautifully blue I am!!" It was one of those times that you can see forever...
Lovely photos, but I'm afraid that last one strikes a nerve. The little airstrip (located 2 km down river from my house) held its annual get-together/air show this weekend. I didn't realise it was happening until I staggered out to feed the birds first thing on Saturday (wearing next to nothing) and found myself being buzzed by three small planes! I'm sure they were very amused to see a half-naked woman madly trying to out run them back to the house!
We sure had fantastic weather for the most part Gaelyn, till those few days in the Drakensberg. I am sure the clouds sit right on the mountains sometimes and look spectacular.
I love clouds against a blue sky, the one with the plane is unusual. Have a good Sunday. Diane
ReplyDeleteVERY NICE

ReplyDeleteI remember those beautiful blue skies. And the plane going over too. Yet I best loved the view at God's Window.
ReplyDeleteThere will be no view today at the canyon as the gray sky hits the ground.
Beautiful cloud formations! You even managed to capture a red plain! :-)

ReplyDeleteI agree..they are beautiful Joan...
ReplyDeleteThanks Diane. I had to try a few times before I managed to get a picture. As you know it is very hilly there and it kept disappearing behind them. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sebi. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sciarada. It is not often that it is such a deep blue.

ReplyDeleteLOL!! I am sure the pilots had fun Lynda but dont be surprised if they keep on coming back now. :)
ReplyDeleteThey have some ultralites which take off from there and that is one I would love to have to go game viewing with.
Thanks Michelle.
ReplyDeleteSouth Africa truly has some of the most magnificent blue skies anywhere. If people don't believe me, they should come and visit to see for themselves.
ReplyDeleteYou are right Jonker. I have just been doing a post on the outdoor show we had here and was saying the same.
ReplyDeleteJoan: Really cool sky shots.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom. It is not often I see it this blue.
ReplyDeleteYou know how much I love and study clouds. These are so beautiful.

Thanks Becky. I thought the first one was amazing when I took it.
ReplyDeleteGreat sky!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting and commenting Espresso.
ReplyDeleteYes, your blue is very blue! Lovely skies and clouds.
ReplyDeleteI wish they were always like this Mary but most of the time are just a dull, faded blue.
ReplyDeleteJoan yes they are, and especially the first one with the bursting cloud. Thanks for sharing, so inspiring. Anna :)
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome Anna. I look at something like that burst in the formation of the coud an wonder what causes it.
