  3. Thanks Jo. Yes it has but still no rain and I believe summer does not start until we do. I must admit we had a very mild winter with not too many cold days due to the wind we get from the Cape.

  4. Water drops make for some of the most beautiful pictures out there. I just have never tried on purpose to get a reflection in a drop before.

  5. I love raindrops, as you will see in my post today. that hibiscus is amazing, i have hundreds of them in the yard and have taken many photos of them half open, but this one is shaped like a big tear drop. raindrops are God's Diamons for His world. these are wonderful.

  6. Nice captures Joan! You have some extra ordinary skills to capture raindrops. These raindrops bring me some cooling effects in this hot summer day.

  9. Hi Joan!!

Let's not forget one of the greatest songs of all time...

"The Rain Song" by Led Zeppelin.
The jest of the song is that into every life, just a little rain must fall...

Water is the coolest thing to catch on camera I think... You get so much more with it... The fence is cool!

  10. Wow, very impressive raindrop macros and song list. I really like the idea of catching reflections in the water. Especially like the second to last image with the rows of drops on what could be spider webs. Very cool Joan.

Hope to see something on your sidebar soon about voting for you as best blog in ZA.

  14. I love the rain Diane and never mind if it falls for days on end. I have seen too much drought not to appreciate every drop. I also like waterfalls, lakes etc. VERY peaceful as you say.

  17. Thanks Gaelyn. It was the hairs on the grass which caught the dew so this is an extreme close-up. It was so pretty.

Thank you. I will put something in the sidebar for the voting. :) This was so nice of Diane and I could not believe it when she told me about it.

  18. Rain drops are my absolute favourite subject matter. I think they automatically take any subject and boost it up 5 or 6 notches on the pretty-meter.

These ones are really great. That hibiscus is gorgeous and... well... rain drop factor! LOL Great shots Joan!
