Setaro's/St. Lucia Dwarf Chameleon (Bradypodion setaroi)

Family Chamaeleonidae
THIS SPECIES IS LISTED AS ENDANGERED!!

They can grow up to 12cm in total length and are found near the St. Lucia estuary up towards Mozambique.


Their habitat is trees of the costal dune forests.

  3. We don't see nearly as many chameleons as we used to when I was a kid. He's quite interesting looking with his collar.

  5. They are one animal I love to find Diane. Mostly I see the Flap-necked chameleon as he is more common here.

  6. You have a couple of the dwarf species in your area Jonker. I have been looking for some here but not finding any either. Unfortunately they have been driven out of the town areas.
