Tapering Darkling Beetle - Himatismus


Tapering Darkling Beetle (Himatismus) belong to the Tenebrionidae family.

They are found throughout South Africa and have long golden patches of hair on their body.  

They feed on various leaves and are often found under rocks or logs.

These are fairly small beetles, this one being about ½ an inch in length.
