Shrimp

This will probably be the most unusual post I have ever done. :)

The other day our one old PC at work gave up the ghost so I dashed down to get a new one. While I was waiting for it to be put together, I took a walk to a nearby pet store and saw these shrimp.
WOW!! What fantastic color it is and could not resist taking a picture or two.
This was another one which was so pretty with its stripes. I wish I had a fishtank again!!
I sometimes think I would have loved to have done underwater photograpy too as there are so many beautiful things down at the bottom of out oceans. This is called a Fire Shrimp and comes from South America.

Thanks Dejemonos sorprender. I agree, we have so many beautiful creatures on land we do not need to look under the sea as well.

I used to love watching the one we had years ago Andrea. It has to be one of the most relaxing things a person can do.

I did many years ago Ida and it was a wonderful experience. Some of the coral reefs and the fish are amazing colours.

You are right Gaelyn. Have you tried it? I did many years ago and loved it.

Mostly ours are pink too Sandra so these were eye-boggling. I thought the one with the stripes clownish, like those in the circus. :)

You are wonderful Craig!! Thanks!! M is lucky to have you around but she needs to be more of a slavedriver and has my full support. LOL!!

LOL!! I wonder if they taste the same as the pink ones Ken or if, because of their color, they have more chili flavoring to them. LOL!!

Thanks Becky. It is the first time I have seen some like this and was astounded.

Thanks Mary I thought the striped one looks like it might be a harlequin. :)

I would love to have a big tank with features and all. There is something relaxing to having something like that around you.

Thanks Philip. Well these is ONE place I do not take my camera into. :)

Many years ago we have a biggish tank in our loungs and at night we would switch off all the house light leaving just those of the tank on, then would lay on the floor with music playing and just watch the fish. Just a half an hour of this is worth more than a week's holiday. Thanks Jonker.

And he is a beauty Michelle. :) I love the thought of having a tank again but would never have the time to take care of it. I do see our shops have a much greater variety of fish now than 30 years ago when I had mine.
