A wasp - piece by piece (Polistes fastidiosus)

With it being the middle of winter, the few bugs around are very sluggigh and tend to stay put. This affords a person a perfect time to take real close-ups of them. This paper wasp was a good subject.
The face.
The abdomen.
The wing.
The strange shaped eye.
The legs.
The thorax.
